Welcome
Welcome to the Otsego County Louis M. Groen Nature Preserve located in Johannesburg, Michigan! The approximately 800-acre preserve was left to Otsego County along with a trust to care for the property by Mr. Groen. The trails on the preserve allow for hiking, biking, birding, and horseback riding. In the winter the trails are groomed for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. The county works to preserve Mr. Groen’s legacy by offering a quite place to enjoy nature and educational programs for youth and adults. If you are interested in the preserve, or its programs, use the links above or contact us for scheduling, requests, and questions.
